Marvin A. Weinstein was a founding partner of Schooler & Weinstein. Less than ten years later, the firm had grown, adding two new partners, more associates and a larger staff, to become Schooler, Weinstein, Minsky & Lester, P.C. Today it is firmly established, well-known and highly regarded throughout the tri-state area.
Mr. Weinstein, along with Mr. Minsky, are credited with building the firm on their reputation for having sound business practices as preeminent tax accountants, as well as offering personalized service that takes into account each individualís and businessís unique needs.
Mr. Weinsteinís practice focuses on tax planning for the small business owner, with an emphasis on pension planning that will enable business owners and their employees to plan for their future and ultimately their retirement.
The personalized approach that both he and the firm take has resulted in a career-long practice built on word-of-mouth referrals. He and the firm have cultivated a long and diversified list of clients, some of whom have been with them for over thirty years. Some of their original clients have passed their businesses down to the next generation who are present clients.
Mr. Weinsteinís areas of expertise include the international freight forwarding industry, retail/wholesale businesses, auto dealerships, medical and dental practices and non-profit organizations.
He graduated from Queens College in 1955 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and went on to receive his C.P.A. certificate in 1961.
He is a member of the New York State Society of C.P.A.s, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the CW Post Tax Institute. He also serves on the Board of Trustees as Finance Chairman and on the Endowment Committee for Temple Emanuel of East Meadow. He is also the current chairman of the Board of Trustees of Washington Square Institute for Psychotherapy and Mental Health.
